Day 18: Favorite Name
None of the names of characters really bother me (at least none I can think of), so….I just remember being little and thinking Jasmine was such a beautiful, exotic name.

Day 17
I kinda think ‘Best Eyes’ is a cop-out, when there really could’ve been a better category for today. They’re animated eyes; they have their limitations. I’m not going to ramble about how you can see their souls in their eyes or whatever. (However, Disney’s animators do animate lovely, expressive eyes. I just don’t think any one set is better than another. I have always thought there’s something funny about Cinderella’s eyes, though.) Anyway. I decided on Ariel because, in this scene, her eyes are just so big and innocent. Nervous, a bit scared, but so very excited because her dreams are coming true. Not to mention they’re as big as saucers. ^.^
(Additionally, this image reminds me of all the Ariel dolls I had growing up, the ones that lived in the bath tub. I washed her hair regularly and always ruined it, so it stood on end.)

Day 16
When I heard Anika Noni-Rose was going to play Tiana, I got excited. And, of course, she delivered! I really love her voice. It’s so expressive.

Day 15
All I can say is that Sebastian was totally right about how to create a mood, because he really nailed it with this one. It was so enchanting and romantic and…why can’t real life be like this?

Day 14
Now, I think there are a lot of really excellent villains. I really love Ursula, but when I started thinking about my favorite, I had to choose Maleficent because she’s evil, powerful, and rather stunning. She’s so sophisticated in her mannerisms. I wonder a lot about her, too, because when she arrived in the throne room at the beginning, everyone was nervous and tense, but she carried herself like she was supposed to be there. And I always wondered about her relationship with Aurora’s parents, because they did chat for a bit like they’d communicated before (even if her parents were downright terrified). It’s all very interesting…
