Day 17
I kinda think ‘Best Eyes’ is a cop-out, when there really could’ve been a better category for today. They’re animated eyes; they have their limitations. I’m not going to ramble about how you can see their souls in their eyes or whatever. (However, Disney’s animators do animate lovely, expressive eyes. I just don’t think any one set is better than another. I have always thought there’s something funny about Cinderella’s eyes, though.) Anyway. I decided on Ariel because, in this scene, her eyes are just so big and innocent. Nervous, a bit scared, but so very excited because her dreams are coming true. Not to mention they’re as big as saucers. ^.^
(Additionally, this image reminds me of all the Ariel dolls I had growing up, the ones that lived in the bath tub. I washed her hair regularly and always ruined it, so it stood on end.)
